The motive of the poster is a chimere, an ink drawing, size 17 cm x 25 cm, produced in 1935, drawn in Le Boisgeloup, where Picasso lived together with Marie-Thérèse Walter.
Top right you can read: Boisgeloup 24 Avril 1935. The drawing could be find today in the Musée Picasso.
The picture presentation about Picasso was held by Paul Haesaerts (1901-74), who soon should make the film "Visit to Picasso". (See the poster to the film 'Von Renoir bis Picasso - Vom Impressionismus zur abstrakten Malerei' from 1950, directeur: Paul Haesaerts, at our order no. 30470 ! )
An introduction was held by Abbé Maurice Morel (1908-91).
The art "Picasso et Notre Temps" was forbidden during the German Nazi occupation and should be made again public now in the near post war period.
