Condition
The posters on offer are, unless otherwise stated, in an unfolded and good condition. However, the criteria for the state of preservation of posters are less strict than those for printed graphics. For this reason the condition of a poster can still be described as good when, for example, there are minor creases outside the portrayal area or a minimum degree of dirt. This is particularly true of older posters. An exception is made in the case of German posters from the immediate post-war years. There are, however, hardly any sheets of printable quality in existence. They are mostly folded and damaged at the corners, often there is a postmark and even a hand-written notification decree on the reverse side. Each one of these posters from the period 1945 till ca. 1955 reveals the ever-changing story of its genesis.
We have endeavoured to describe correctly the condition of the posters that are no longer in a ready-to-print state. Please ask if you should like to have a detailed description of the condition of a poster.
Ordering
Please send us a fax or email to cheek the availability of the sheets. Because we sometimes only have one copy in stock, it is important to await our confirmation. The sheet will be reserved for you in any case.
We deliver all articles with a 14 day non-binding right to view and return, independent of the conditions of payment. Please inform us as soon as possible should you intend to return the article. Please take care when returning the article that it is carefully packaged, so that it may reach us in the same condition in which you received it. The return period is regarded as having been stuck to when the package is punctually sent off to: Gallery for Modern Art and Poster Art, Dr. Hildegard Schaaf, Belvederestr. 6, 50933 Cologne.
The invoice sum will be credited to the customer account upon return and either off-set against the next delivery or refunded, if so wished. Please note that dispatch expenses will not be refunded.
The costs of the return delivery must be born by you.
Please note that, in the event of the package being damaged, it is absolutely necessary to draw up a postman’s damage report or to refuse to accept the delivery.
1) In order to ensure prompt processing, please enclose a copy of the invoice with the return delivery.
2)Should damaged or used goods be returned, then we have the right to file a compensation claim (§361a II BGB = "Civil Code)
3)Under no circumstances are we able to refund costs incurred in the case of deliveries per courier or other irregular dispatch means that go beyond the normal postal costs. Please stamp your return delivery in an orderly fashion and use wherever possible our dispatch packaging for safety reasons.
Conditions of payment:
Dispatch will, as a rule, follow within one week of the receipt of the order. The delivery is subject to the condition that we ourselves are supplied correctly and punctually and are not responsible for the non-availability of the goods. Compensation is excluded, unless we are guilty of intent or gross negligence. We are entitled to make partial deliveries or to combine several orders to the same dispatch address.
The delivery will be made against advance payment, cash on delivery or Paypal are only possible in exceptional cases.
Reservation of proprietary rights
Until payment has been made in full, the goods supplied remain our property. Until this time you are obliged to handle the goods carefully and to notify any damages without delay. In the case of arrears we are entitled to renounce the contract and demand the return of the goods.
All offers are subject to alteration. Errors and printing mistakes excepted.
Above and beyond the conclusion of the contractual relationship, we will store and use your data only within the context of your express permission and the statutory stipulations. Your details will of course be treated confidentially. Your approval regarding further use of your data can, of course, be revoked at any time. A simple communication will suffice.
The seat of justice is Cologne.
